The Hosting Institution of the NiDS2021 Conference is the University of West Attica (UNIWA), and in particular, the Laboratory of Educational Technology and e-Learning Systems (EDUTeL).

UNIWA is the third largest university in the country with regards to the number of undergraduate students (in regular season), whereas it hosts over 50,000 students in total.

The University of West Attica is the third largest in the country in terms of student numbers. It has approximately 52,000 undergraduate, 1,150 postgraduate and 210 doctoral students. UNIWA is expanded to three Campuses within the metropolitan region of ​​Athens, including twenty-seven departments, organized into six Schools, covering a wide range of disciplines. The School of Public Health, the School of Management, Economics and Social Sciences, the School of Food Sciences, the School of Health and Welfare Sciences, the School of Applied Arts and Culture and the School of Engineering.  UNIWA aims to meet the educational, social, cultural, and developmental needs of the country, the scientific fields it serves, in addition to promoting research and disseminating innovative scientific knowledge and technical expertise.

EDUTeL Laboratory

The Educational Technology and Electronic e-Learning Systems Laboratory of the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering in UNIWA is an important pole of research, development, synergy and excellence in the axes and sub-disciplines of educational technology and learning systems with proven activity in resource recovery European and national programs, organization of international conference representatives, national representation in European and international Standardization-organisms in the field of learning technologies, participation in committees of national training organizations and lifelong learning (Education Policy Institute).
