Title: Reasoning from High-Order Data: Methods and Applications

Short CV

Dr. Konstantinos Makantasis received his Computer Engineering diploma and his PhD on Computer Vision and Machine Learning from the Technical University of Crete. He has been a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Technical University of Crete, at KIOS CoE, University of Cyprus, and at the Institute of Digital Games, University of Malta. He has been twice an Early Stage Researcher – Marie Curie Fellow (4D-CH-World MSCA IAPP project); while in February 2020, he has been awarded the prestigious Marie Curie Individual Fellowship (Widening Fellowship) grant to work on the development of high-order tensor-based and preference learning models. His research focuses on the crossroads of Machine and Statistical Learning, Image Processing, and Computer Vision for developing state-of-the-art methodologies and cutting-edge technologies in data analytics and decision making. He has published more than 50 journal and international conference peer-reviewed papers in the research areas mentioned above. His publications have been cited more than 1300 times (h-index:17 and i10-index:25).
